Over the 'canal' and by the 'bog' to my grandmother's house we went. The photo above is not the canal just a little stream that is near grandma's home. A few weeks back we were privileged to pay a visit to my (Beth's) grandma. She lives about three hours drive from our home.
During our visit the kids and I took a little stroll with my second cousin to a cranberry bog located at the end of her road. It is so peaceful there and it was a beautiful day for a stroll and some snap shots. I am looking for an opportunity to go back for a visit this autumn when the berries are being harvested (a good homeschool outing don't you think:-)
I always remember the pines from the Cape as a kid with the very long needles. The airiness of these pines seems to mirror the relaxed feel that the Cape does so very well. And I just had to include this shot of our little Matthias who is growing so quickly and yet is still a baby in so many ways.
Six hours in the vehicle but it was one of the sweetest.
