We are on a roll this week. . . here is the third installation of the Parsonage Makeover Series. Above is a photo that was taken from on of the first 'walk throughs' that we did of the house after arriving this past winter. I hesitate to write this past winter as we were watching some snow flakes floating past the window just yesterday! This has been a lengthy winter season with lots of snow, and it seems to not want to give up it's place to spring but the snow is gone today and the daffodils are still standing so the winner is clear. . . spring!
There was the removal of carpet, several coats of paint and 'voila'! The color is called Greenbae and it is not that we were wanting a room that color but the baby's room (if that answers previous questions as to where Matthias' crib was in the Boy's Room post) is a little sitting room of sorts off the master bedroom and had been recently painted so we were trying to tie them together. . . .thus the color. Once the color was on the walls I really enjoy the calm, crispness that it gives to the room!
The furnishings in the room (once again) have spoken of the Lord's care for us and provision. Everything (not including our bed and the wicker trunk that has made many moves with us over the past 10 years) that furnishes our room was given or 'found' at a local dump 'swap shop'. I am so thankful that we have a very personal God who knows us and our individual tastes.
Poppies. . . some of my favorites, and perhaps I will have some real ones in the garden this year to share photos with you!
When I took this photo I was standing in the doorway to the baby's room, who happened to be taking his nap else there would have been a picture of his little spot as well.
The cardinal cross stitch is one of Kiera's many works that grace various rooms in our home.
The door on the left is the baby's room and looking out our main door you can see a glimpse of future post subjects (the stairwell!). But for now it is time to close and get some sleep it has been a long albeit enjoyable week both in preparation for and the celebration of the Resurrection! Praise the Lord for His amazing display of love in the sacrifice of His Son on our behalf!

Oh Bethy, it's beautiful! I love the white painted wood floors and the way you did the window treatments so as to not hide/distract from the woodwork. It's been an encouragement to my heart to see the way God has provided for your sweet family!
Love you,
Lisa
