Here are some photos to hopefully give those of you who are outside of the New England area an idea of the volume of snow that we have experienced this winter. In the above picture is a very happy Kiera working on her snow fort. The kids come in most days that they have been playing outdoors with new plans and renovations that they have been working on in their 'fort'. I believe that at this point it is more of an ice cave with the bit of a thaw we received before the cold blast we are in right now. Regardless this 'fort' has provided hours of fun for the kids and a great opportunity to get to know some of the neighbors (which is another topic all on it's own, so thankful for those classes in 'cross cultural communication')
These are some of our deathly icicles that decorate the house. These particular ones were about 6 inches longer than in this picture before Jeremy knocked them down so as to spare someones life. . . no joke they could inflict some serious damage if they came down at the wrong time (so we chose the time for them).
Jonas was demonstrating how to use the 'slide' when I was 'shutter-bugging'. Our church steeple is gracing the back ground of the kids winter play-land. I am standing in our driveway looking across a small piece of relatively 'flat' land (in the off season that is:-). The snow is almost up to the windows as you can see behind Jonas. All of this snowfall has been a good workout for Jeremy and a treat for us as it has been three years since we have enjoyed this 'white stuff' in person and the first time Mabri has ever seen snow!
