1-1-2011

Though we are now living in the north east that does not always equal snow at this time of year. The weather has been plenty cold don't get me wrong in that regard but the snow has not accompanied it until this past week! The kids have been THRILLED to see all that snow (though they don't know that there will be more coming in the upcoming weeks).
All that 'white' stuff did not make it to us in time for Christmas (but that has nothing to do with the celebration of the birth of Jesus some 2,ooo years ago). So this past week when we received a significant amount of snow it sure helped to make for a wonderful New Year's Day party with Jeremy's side of the family.
The past two days we spent the majority of our time with his folks, grammie, one sister and her family. It was a fun time had by all enjoying each others company, playing in the snow, and once again being reminded of the MANY MANY things we have to be thankful for every day of our lives starting with the difference that they birth of Christ has made in our inner person.
Most folks tend to become rather frustrated with the snow and the extra work to daily life that it brings but not so for Jeremy. He has throughly enjoyed the whole snow removal processes and the privilege of getting outdoors to enjoy the winter climate.
The weather was nice enough today that even Matthias was able to be out for a bit of fresh air and sunshine which he enjoyed very much as he seems to enjoy every thing in life:-)
We hope that where ever the Lord has you that you are also able to enjoy the climate and situation in life that you find yourself entering 2011. There is always something that we can find to be frustrated with or complain about but the Lord has been showing me over the past . . . who knows how long that there are FAR MORE things to be THANKFUL for in life and to put my FOCUS on those things!
